Katie Sweeney - Chief Strategy Officer - Katie is a senior strategic thought leader with over 25 years of experience. Katie founded OutsideIn Strategies, Inc. in 2001 following 12 years in strategy consulting. As a seasoned qualitative researcher, she probes for insights at the highest order and then leverages them to drive actionable recommendations for growth.
Prior to establishing OutsideIn Strategies, Katie spent five years as a Director with The Cambridge Group, a demand strategy consulting firm. Before Cambridge, she was with A.T. Kearney, where she helped establish a practice in Retail and Direct Marketing Consulting. She also spent five years with Deloitte Consulting’s Retail and Apparel practice and worked at Yankelovich, a market research supplier.
Katie received her MBA from The Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University, with a concentration in Marketing, and her BA cum laude from Colgate University with a double major in biology and English. She is a member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA). Katie has been a guest lecturer at Cornell, Colgate, and James Madison University and is a current Olympic-Distance triathlete and marathon runner. Katie also serves on the Parent Advisory Board of SNACK, Special Needs Activity Center for Kids, and is a huge supporter of Surfers Healing.
